Introducing Tunstall

Tunstall

Mark Hindle introduces Tunstall and the purpose behind a simpler, more connected service for independent living.

Mark Hindle, UK&I Managing Director at Tunstall

When we started shaping Tunstall, the brief was simple: make it easier for people to feel safe, supported and independent, without making families navigate a complicated care system before they can get help.

For more than 65 years, Tunstall has supported people to live with confidence. Tunstall is the next step in that story. It brings proven monitoring, practical technology and family reassurance into a clearer, more accessible service for people buying support for themselves or for someone they love.

Why Tunstall matters

Care needs are changing. People want support that fits around daily life, not a service that only reacts when something has already gone wrong. Families want to know that help is available, but they also want the person they care about to keep their independence and dignity.

That is what we are building around:

  • Simple plans that are easy to understand
  • Reliable monitoring when help is needed
  • Technology that supports independence at home and out and about
  • Better ways for family members to stay informed and involved
  • A service model that can keep improving as customer needs change

Built around people, not just devices

The device matters, but it is only part of the service. What matters most is the confidence it creates: for the person wearing or using it, for family members, and for the teams ready to respond when support is needed.

Tunstall is designed to make that whole journey simpler, from choosing a plan through to setup, ongoing support and future changes. We will keep adding practical guidance to this blog so customers and families can make informed decisions about independent living, monitoring and connected care.

What comes next

This is the start of a broader direct-to-consumer service for Tunstall. We will continue to listen, improve the online journey, strengthen the family experience and make sure the service remains grounded in what people actually need day to day.

I am proud of the team bringing Tunstall to life, and I am excited about what it can do for people who want to live safely, well and independently.
